What fun would BAPSoft be without fun contests for you to enter? On this part of our website you will find some contests for you to enter. There is a seperate section for each contest, with a full description of what you need to do, and when the contest ends. At the end of the page is information telling you what you will get if you win a contest!

We are constantly looking for new game and application ideas. Do you have one that you think is just to good to go unrealized? If so then enter our idea contest! Email me and give me a complete description of your idea (atleast two paragraphs). This is an ongoing contest, we will declare a winner after we have collected thirty entries. We will then display the winner's name on this page. You are only allowed one entry per 'game'. If you have entered the contest, you may not enter again until after a winner has been declared. In addition to the standard prizes, winners will receive an award which they can post on their website. This award DOES NOT have to link back to us, though it can if you want :o). In addition, we will do our best to make your game/application, and your name, email address, and URL of your webpage will all be displayed prominently in the program. Just because you didn't win doesn't mean we won't use your idea! Now that you know all about the contest, you maybe be wondering what we judge your entries on, well here is our criteria:

Originality - We are looking for unusual, and original, ideas...so don't be a copycat and expect to win.
Creativity - Is your idea creative? Different? Special in some way?
Length and Detail - The longer and more detailed your idea, the better!
Games and Applications - These will be judged seperatly, and there will be a different winner for each.
Feasibility - This is very important! Can your idea be realistically programmed in a short time (under two months)? While some ideas may be great, they just may not be possible. Be sure to consider this when making your idea.

Many of our contests offer special prizes, but there are a few prizes you get no matter what contest you enter. First of all, your name, email address, and a link to your page are put up on this page, and you get a full banner link back to your site on our Cool Links or Programming Links page (depending on the type of site you have). We cannot link back to sites with X-rated content, however. In addition, for one whole week, BAPSoft members will go around promoting your webpage by signing guestbooks of other pages with similiar themes, submitting your page to search engines, and putting your page on link free-for-alls.
